Police Kill Gunman Who Left 3 Dead Including Child In Newark (Developing)

A gunman who killed a man and 7-year-old child was purportedly shot dead by police in Newark Wednesday evening, May 3, according to authorities and abc7.

The Essex County Prosecutors Office said they were investigating the shooting, which occurred near Elizabeth Avenue and Meeker Avenue sometime around 8:45 p.m.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney General is investigating the incident as a possible officer involved shooting, according to the Essex County Prosecutors Office.
